I rode on the Bicentennial mall today. I arrived just in time to ride inside the bells of the carillon as they played for 15 minutes at Noon.

As you ride south on the Mall you see the Capital of Tennessee on the hill above you

Coming North toward the bells, you ride through granite walls telling the history of Tennessee
Each pillar is dated as a decade and the history of that decade is on the granite wall to your right.

I was the only bicycle there today but there were numerous walkers from the state buildings including my wife and some of her friends taking their lunch stroll.
It is a level ride if you stay in the mall itself. Some of the streets around it have hills.
