RCN Closes After 16+ Years

This was posted on the Recumbent Cyclist blog this morning

"After 101 issues published, the print newsletter Recumbent Cyclist News has closed. RCN 102 was completed earlier this month, but we could not afford to print and mail it. Some of the articles are here on the blog. Further updates will also be placed here. Needless to say, we are devastated by the closing and loss of our business and livelihood. We would like to thank all of our friends, readers, supporters and sponsors. All are listed here in the sidebar links.

I enjoyed reading the Recumbent Cyclist News. I am going to miss it very much.

Nashville Greenways are being finished.

Just received the following letter from my friend. Looks like we have some new miles to ride and some soon to come.
Just rode the Greenway at Two Rivers Park. The new Heartland Park Greenway section has all three miles of fence built for cattle/bull safety and is open all the way to Lebanon Road!
It is a scenic high with all the trees, Stones and Cumberland River, plus farm land up to the golf course.
Also the new hand railings are installed and being painted on the Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge and is close to finish. New grass is growing on the north side Shelby Bottoms berm and the concrete is painted. Steel sections remain and the entrance ramp on the East side has to be paved to the Briley Parkway tunnel.
2008 looks really good for us bikers with all this work coming to completion.
